Kysha Harris here, aka SCHOP! Girl (no cape…yet!). I am a native New Yorker, Harlem born and raised. I started a personalized cooking service, SCHOP! (shop+chop) in 2002 to help urban professionals and their families shop, chop and cook for the week and for small home entertaining.
SCHOP! has led me to great opportunities building “a life in food” that includes writing a weekly anecdotal column as the Food Editor for the Amsterdam News | AmNewsFOOD, as well as consulting with private clients (eateries and food artisans) and as a executive culinary producer working on network food television and now producing my first web series Making It, highlighting my favorite foods and how to make them.
Come read, see and eat this life in food with me.
